Final Fantasy XIV’s latest merch collab offers up a $400 ear cuff from jewelry maker K.UNO

If you adore Final Fantasy XIV’s Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur, love jewelry, and happen to have $400 sitting around doing nothing important, then we’ve got news for you: You can spend that money on a pre-order for a new piece of merch.

That’s right, now fans can dress their ear up – just one of them, mind you – with a custom-made ear cuff from Japanese jewelry maker K.UNO that’s modeled after the same kind that the twins wear in-game. The cuff itself is made of silver while its hanging diamond-shaped ornament is crafted from white chalcedony. It can be worn on either ear and can be adjusted somewhat, though the product page warns that “excessive force may cause the cuff to warp or break.”

Unsurprisingly, response to this piece of merch is pretty mixed, with most balking at the price compared to the presumed cost of materials or its cheap-looking appearance, though there are a few ear cuff enjoyers in the thread. This piece of high-dollar merch won’t ship until sometime in April of next year, so if you happen to be in the position described in the lede, have at it.
