World of Warcraft’s anniversary realms are bringing Phase 5 to the servers on July 10

It's the same dang thing.

Has it really been so long since you got to gather Runecloth in the Plaguelands to turn into cities for reputation and progress toward unlocking the gates of Ahn’qiraj in World of Warcraft? No. No, it has not. It hasn’t been long at all, since WoW Classic did not exactly last bring players to that forgotten shore all that long ago. But the game’s anniversary servers are hitting that same event once more on July 10th, so you’d better get those Runecloth-gathering hands ready.

You could gather other things too, we suppose. It’s going to be the same event for gathering resources and assembling the scepter that has been happening before, and players will be working to gather resources and open the gates in a server-wide event. There are also new class-specific sets to unlock in the raids that you unlock after all those antics, of course. The official announcement has a refresher for those who haven’t taken part before, so if you’d unclear about how things will go as you take the war to the bug city, read up ahead of the launch next month.
