Apparently, characters in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen will not be very perceptive until they’re at around level 35 or so. That’s the conclusion being leaped to when the Ashbreathers update, which is bringing two new zones for levels 35 to 45 on June 11th, will also be debuting a deeper application of the perception system.
Regular readers may know that the perception system has been one of the major bullet points – and talking points – of Pantheon for literal years now. For those who aren’t in the know, the system essentially generates quests, clues, and discoveries based on where a character is located, what they’re doing, or who they’ve met previously, and the latest dev blog about the Ashbreather update officially confirms players in the new areas will get to experience it first-hand.
To wit, Visionary Realms confirms that many of the quests in the Ashbreathers realm use perception to kick off, while later updates promise to introduce a final conclusion to one of the MMO’s main storylines and add more quests to the area.
Whether a deepening of the system is being extended to everywhere else in the sandbox MMORPG isn’t expressly detailed here – the updated roadmap suggests this is an enhancement of the rudimentary system and the game’s Twitter calls it a “notable integration” – but just know that your character’s eyes are going to open wide soon. In a couple of very specific zones, anyway.
