The beta weekend for Dune: Awakening is now over (as is hearing about it for nearly as long), so now it’s a matter of everyone sitting on their hands and waiting for the survival MMO to make its June 10th release. And that means there’s a lot of time for Funcom to talk about the game some more.
The weekend test closed out with a message of thanks from creative director Joel Bylos and a closing blog post, both of which promise that more will be shared between now and June, including new blogs, trailers, showcases, and peeks at the other schools of the Imperium like the one about the Bene Gesserit.
Meanwhile the most recent newsletter rounds up plenty of post-beta hype, including lots of influencer video embeds, previously released livestream details and trailers from the studio, and another Q&A round: Answers provided once more promise that the studio will manage queues and populations, detail how respawns work, confirm that swapping skills has to be done manually, and explains how map consumables are consumed.
