RuneScape deep-dives Augmented Runecrafting and Thieving, OSRS details Yama’s Contracts

We appreciate that the headline for this RuneScape and Old School RuneScape news post is a bit word soup-y, but we promise that these are things of note within both sandbox MMORPGs. And not just because Jagex likes to capitalize random words. Seriously, game studios, knock that off maybe.

We’ll start with RuneScape and its closer look at Augmented Runecrafting and Thieving skills arriving today. The post does indeed get deep into the skillset weeds as it goes over how to start, the methods in which players get specific materials, and what those materials are combined into – namely new perks and the two new main hand tools that can be earned in the form of the Runecrafting binding rod and the Thieving pickpocketing bag. Players can jump into the new content at patch-up today and check out the notes right now.

Meanwhile in OSRS, Jagex is discussing the Yama’s Contracts feature in response to some reported community buzz. In short, players can bring these contracts to the Yama boss fight, agree to their terms, and face harder solo variants of the battle for additional rewards. Those rewards are specific to certain contracts, such as a new cosmetic variant for the Oathplate armor, while getting these contracts is done either through farming or from Yama directly. The Yama fight and his contracts system will launch on May 14th.
